AARP Tax-Aide Maine York County

Do You know the difference between a Tax Deduction and a Tax Credit? Make a difference in your own community Volunteer with AARP Tax-Aide and help many elderly and low to moderate income neighbors file their taxes for free. We need volunteers who are familiar with tax forms and are computer savvy. We have tax classes each January and then go into our communities Feb 1 through April 15th filing both Federal and State income tax forms. We also help file the Maine Property Tax Fairness Credit applications.

AARP Tax-aide Maine is a volunteer group trained with IRS publications and testing that goes out into our Maine communities helping the low to middel income and elderly file taxes for free.
