Nasson Community Center/Little Theatre

Who We Are

The Nasson Community Center is home to many local organizations. We offer a daycare/early childhood center, sports programs, dances, dinner and gala's in our community center space. The NCC also is home to the Little Theatre, a 145 seat performing arts space. Both spaces are available for rental, both spaces have a stage and access to a full commercial kitchen.

What We Do

Our mission is to provide cultural and community activities in Central York County for all ages and all economic backgrounds. Nasson College, established in 1912, once proudly educated thousands of young people in the heart of Springvale. With enrollment declining, the school closed in 1983. The buildings sat vacant for twenty years when dozens of local citizens came together to secure the buildings and begin a new chapter for the college campus. The community loved the idea but in 2002 the town of Sanford decided not to take on this mult-million dollar project of renovation. Shortly after a dedicated group of alumni stepped forward and formed Nasson Redevelopment Inc, a non-profit to reuse, remodel and reopen the gymnasium, chapel and ultimately the theatre for community use. In 2004 the gymnasium/community center opened and soon the Little Theatre will again welcome entertainers from around the region and beyond.
