Wells Elementary School

Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing education to all students.The Kindergarten Team of 6 teachers at Wells Elementary School are currently providing students with a new literacy based initiative and in order to provide students with optimal support, we are in need of volunteers from September 14th through October 19th. This would be a consistent commitment throughout the 6 weeks determined by the volunteer and their individual availability. The time frame each day is 8:30 am to 1 pm. Any amount of time during that duration would be appreciated. Each volunteer would be working with small groups of children during their center times (guiding them to task, reinforcing teacher directions, ensuring students are staying on task), during their recess and snack times, and additional classroom support throughout the school day.

Wells Elementary School is a public school system for students grades K -4 with 480 students in attendance.The Kindergarten Team of 6 teachers at Wells Elementary School is seeking volunteers to support a new initiative for all incoming Kindergarten students. Volunteers would be expected to work with small groups (2-3 children at a time) on specific skills. Training would be provided.
