Project Home

Who We Are

Since launching Maine's first housing navigation program in 2018, Project Home has helped more than 1,454 households access long-term housing opportunities and prevented eviction for an additional 1,290 households, serving adults and children in all 16 Maine counties. Through strong partnerships with landlords, schools, healthcare providers, child welfare agencies, and community organizations, Project Home has developed a proven model for helping vulnerable households achieve and maintain housing stability while improving health, economic security, and overall well-being. Our work is grounded in the understanding that stable housing is foundational to individual and family prosperity. Housing instability is associated with poorer health outcomes, disruptions in education and employment, increased reliance on social support systems, and increased risk of lapsing into homelessness.

What We Do

We create pathways to stable housing, better health, and financial security – empowering Maine people in need and strengthening communities.
