Volunteer: Mentor an Immigrant Seeking Asylum

Would you like to be a positive force in the life of someone seeking asylum and develop a fulfilling connection to a new neighbor in the process? If so, consider applying to be a Hope House mentor. Hope House provides transitional housing and support for 13 individuals seeking asylum, and is a project of Hope Acts, a Portland-based nonprofit focused on addiction recovery/wellness and immigrant support programs. We are excited to announce the launch of this brand new Hope House mentoring program! We are accepting applications on a rolling basis and are especially in need of men between the ages of 35 and 55 and someone of any gender who is fluent in American Sign Language.
