Volunteers are the backbone of the Ronald McDonald House. As a volunteer, you provide a home-away-from-home for families of ill or seriously injured children. It may be a warm, friendly smile to a returning family or assisting family arriving for the first time. Other duties include cleaning common areas of the House, preparing guest rooms and contributing to the overall atmosphere of warmth and support.

Become a Ronald McDonald House Guest Chef! As a Guest Chef, you will help relieve one worry for our families during their stay by providing a dinner (or weekend breakfast). This is a great opportunity to volunteer with your family, coworkers or friends! Highlights: Family meals should serve approximately 25 people. Dinner is served buffet style at 6 pm. Groups should arrive between 4-4:30 pm. Breakfast is served at 9 am on Saturday and Sunday only.  Groups should be limited to 6 people. All food must be prepared in RMH's kitchen, with the exception of food prepared in a commercial kitchen.

Ronald McDonald House is seeking Weekend Managers. This is a great opportunity for individuals/families to volunteer and provide a "home-away-from-home" for moms, dads and family members with a child being treated at a nearby hospital or medical facility. Weekend Managers stay overnight at the House for several nights or weekends per year, ensuring families have access to Ronald McDonald House on weekends when staff are not present. This is a position which provides a lot of interaction with our guests and we welcome families to volunteer together.

Volunteers work in three-hour shifts from 9am to 9pm each day, and assist with check-in and check-out of families, administrative tasks, and housekeeping. If you're interested in helping families stay together while their child is hospitalized, please let us know! Weekend Managers reside at the House and manage all basic aspects of daily operations while staff are off-duty.
