As a non-profit that operates only in the summer, volunteers allow us to get ready for the summer season! KBIA is not open in the season so much of the tasks surround opening up the property for use and cleaning up the grounds. KBIA is a 110+-year old non-profit summer program that serves participants ages 2-17 every summer.
We can have separate groups on multiple days as needed to accomodate schedules. Volunteer day options begin on Saturday, June 5 and run through Sunday, June 13.
Tasks on the volunteer days will take place outside and will include:
- Lifting and moving kayaks and small boats
- Putting equipment on the pool deck
- Weeding
- Clearing our playground of trash and rocks
- Other helpful tasks, as needed
All activities will provide options for 6+ feet distancing from other participants. Masks will be required on site and KBIA will provide masks should you not have one with you.
Lunch will be provided to all volunteers; each participant will select what they want upon arrival at 9am.
