Project Home is looking for kind-hearted, compassionate community members to join the PH Lift Crew! A large portion of our housing work involves moving folks out of housing insecurity and into new units. For those we serve, the necessary moving assistance and resources to make this happen are often exceedingly hard to come by.
The Project Home Lift Crew is intended to be a group of on-call volunteers that gather on an as-needed basis with advanced notice when a client needs to move into a new unit. We are primarily looking for movers, those willing to drive and offer the use of moving vehicles such as pick-up trucks, and occasionally packers. Responsibilities may include:
- Lifting and carrying boxes, furniture, and other heavy items.
- Loading and unloading moving vehicles.
- Operating and parking moving vehicles.
- Assisting clients with packing.
- Assisting clients with setting up boxes or items in new units.
