By volunteering time with your local Red Cross, you will contribute to your community's blood supply and change lives, starting with your own. The American Red Cross provides the fabric that enables ordinary individuals to perform extraordinary services. Registration Duties include: greet donors, ensure they read required FDA material, and ensure they sign in. Canteen Duties include: serve donors snacks and beverages while they recover at from their donation. Alert Red Cross staff if a problem arises. Escort Duties include: walk donors to the canteen table after their donation is complete and assist Red Cross staff by carrying full blood packs to Mobile Unit Assistant for processing. Float Duties include: Checking in with donors as they wait, offer water or snacks and relieve registration, escort, and canteen volunteers if breaks are needed.
