Remember the great times you had at summer camp; swimming and boating, making arts and crafts, creating lifelong friendships and laughing until your belly hurt? We have the perfect volunteer opportunity for you!
Participants of Goodwill‘s Lifeworks community support and Residential services are going to Pine Tree Camp, located on North Pond, from 8/26- 8/29. Join these unique and inspiring campers while they discover their abilities and have the life experience they will remember forever! We need help around lunch and dinner serving hungry campers and doing after meal clean up, but otherwise it is all total fun in the sun! Activities will vary according to the day of the week. Here are a few highlights; pontoon boat rides, swimming, corn hole and kick ball tournaments, making tie dyed t-shirts, nature walks and a scavenger hunt. Bring your bathing suit because you will not be able to resist joining campers for a dip in the pristine waters. Our qualified staff will be there to provide any supports campers need while volunteers are there to help and be friendly visitors spending time with campers.
This is a perfect opportunity for high school or college students that need to complete volunteer hours or employee groups that are looking for a unique team building experience or simply anyone that wants to enjoy some time at the lake in summertime!
We need a minimum of 6-8 volunteers each day for a commitment of 4- 8 hours on Monday from 10:30am -6pm and 9:30am -6pm, Tuesday –Thursday. Hey you may just find yourself having so much fun that you’ll want to stay for the entire day! Lunch and dinner provided. Hope you can join us!
