Encourage reading and literacy! As many of us have heard, school closures have impacted programs that support mentorship, early literacy, and social-emotional development. We have a fun way to support schools and education programs without leaving your home!
As with last month's Read Across America event, we're going virtual with our Financial Literacy Month reader training too! Our annual one-on-one, in-classroom reading opportunity is now virtual!
We will be hosting a volunteer reader training on Tuesday, April 13, 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. The training will include tips and tricks for reading to kids and for recording yourself reading.
Literacy has the power to change lives. And you have the power to help every child in Greater Portland have the chance for a brighter future.
