Seeking a volunteer to assist residents with hanging their pictures.  Hammer, picture hardware, level, and tape measure are all provided, so know-how and a friendly smile are all you need to bring with you for this unique service provided within their home.  

Scheduled days and timeframes negotiable based on volunteer availability during normal business hours. Anticipate a bi-weekly schedule will fit current need; open to adjusting as demand and volunteer preference changes. 

Ability to lift materials to be hung required for independence in this support role. Typically, up to 5 lbs. for framed pictures, clocks, etc. 

We are looking for a volunteer who enjoys watching movies and talking with seniors. You will be responsible to play the movie, pass out refreshments, sit and enjoy the film with our residents, put the movie away, and clean up following the resident's departure from the theater room. Comfort with occasional troubleshooting and the ability to follow a printed directions list for proper use of our electronic system required. Currently scheduled Mondays and Fridays from 1:00-4:00p.m. Can volunteer for just one day a week or both. (Training provided and staff support for first couple programs.)    

*Once fully independent with technology and troubleshooting, capacity to adjust schedule to support evening movies to be scheduled at volunteer availability.

Do you play piano? Do you enjoy playing for others? Give us a call! We are looking for volunteer musicians to offer live dinner music to our seniors during the evening meal. We have an electric piano onsite for your use. Program starts at 4:45 p.m. and typically lasts an hour.

Current request is for Mondays, Tuesdays or Thursdays, frequency to be determined by the volunteer's availability.

We are looking for someone to lend a hand ensuring the older adults we serve have the very best dining experience possible. The right person to fill this role is polite when clearing dishes, detailed with cleaning and resetting tables, and friendly when residents choose to engage them. 

This role can readily be customized to fit your availability thanks to meal service being offered 7-days a week across multiple venues on campus, each with their own unique schedule.

Help out in our commercial dish room from receiving and cleaning to organizing and putting things away, this role is a crucial part of keeping the excellent service running smoothly all day long.

Would you like to learn a task you can repeat each volunteer visit, as a consistent role in support of a larger purpose? We are looking for you! 

We want help with tasks such as putting sticker labels on to-go containers and rolling silverware in cloth napkins in preparation for meal service for our community members. There are tasks necessary every day, so we can work with your availability to find the right fit. You are even welcome to wear earbuds and enjoy your favorite tunes as you work since this is an independent task once you have been shown how to complete it.

Are you good with computers, iPads, tablets, smart phones? We are looking for you! In search for a volunteer to assist, teach and problem-solve with our residents in this tech-heavy era. All interactions to occur in public, common spaces, no need to enter resident personal living spaces.

Preference for monthly, bi-weekly, or weekly scheduled offering so our residents can predict when to plan to attend in advance. Is there a specific day of week or time of day that works better for you? Include it in your response to this opportunity! We can customize the role timing to fit with your preference. Even seasonal help, can be of significant support- think summer break from school. :)

Want to spend time in our beautiful courtyard playing casual lawn games (cornhole, bocce) with residents? Involves visiting, playing, and assisting residents as they play. Must be able to retrieve gaming pieces by traveling over lawn, bending, picking up, and returning pieces to participants while they play. Exact time and frequency to be determined by volunteer availability. 

Are you a skilled artist with interest in sharing your knowledge with others? Our residents would love an opportunity to learn from you! Seeking an enthusiastic, patient, creative partner to lead art sessions on campus. Areas of interest are vast, so whatever your passion (i.e., paint, florals, textiles, 2-demensional art, 3-demensional art, etc.), we'd love to hear from you. Frequency of sessions and specific projects taught/completed will be customized based on the right volunteer's availability and vision.

Coffee & conversation, newspaper current events, reminisce favorite life journey, guide through digital programs created to stimulate mind, body, & spirit, lead arts and crafts, writing, reading a favorite story, exercise... Time is flexible.
