With regular visits, there are great health benefits, such as decreased blood pressure, increase in mood and a sense of overall wellbeing. If you have a certified therapy animal that you would like to share with our community, we would be interested in connecting with you! Duties include 1:1 visits in resident rooms and common areas. Please make sure that your pet has an updated health record, including all required immunizations. A pet health certificate and an interview must be completed before beginning. Traits of a friendly visitor here at The Cedars include: The ability to relate effectively, positively and compassionately with residents, members and staff. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Interest in getting to know residents personally. Ability to work with minimal supervision once tasks and responsibilities have been clearly defined.
