Then come enjoy the view of Casco Bay and join the volunteer team at the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad. We are looking for volunteers to become docents aboard our train. Our docents share Maine’s unique railroad history with visitors from around the world. Moving history every day for over 25 years along the beautiful Bay in Portland, we want you to join our team! Open daily from April through October, and seasonally for special events, the museum draws over 60,000 visitors a year, with volunteers donating over 10,000 hours annually. Come put your love of history to good use by joining our crew! We provide all the necessary training for the position. Volunteers should be physically able, and commit to half a day or a full day of service.
