Like its members, the board is down-to-earth, creative, and energetic. Strategic planning, organization and program management, and/or fundraising experience is helpful but not required. Attention to detail is a plus. Board members are expected to put in 8-10 hours a month (earning time dollars, of course!), including monthly Board meetings 6-8 PM the first Thursday of each month. Our more than 500 members share their talents and services, record their hours, then ‘spend’ them later on services they want. Everyone’s hours are equal. This is not barter.
