What We Do

The primary programs of the organization include the following:

Voices of Biddeford which records oral interviews of people from and serving the local community, sharing them online and preserving for educational and research purposes.

Biddeford Cultural and Heritage Center Hall of Fame which celebrates and recognizes the contributions of those either from the community or who had a significant impact on the community or world at large.

Archives/Collections is ongoing to help preserve those artifact and archives which are relevant and have a significant bearing on the heritage and history of the community.

The Museum in the Streets helps educators, citizens, tourists and others to see the areas and buildings of significance within the community through self guided walking and/or driving tours.

Cultural Cuisine events help to showcase the diverse community members and recognize the significance of food, music and art to the culture and heritage of the community.

Veteran services help to recognize, thank and educate others as to the significant contributions of those who served from the community for the rest of the community and their sacrifices when doing so.

Our newest program is the Greater Biddeford-Saco Music Hall of Fame which will be held again on May 4, 2025. This event requires multiple volunteers for a variety of reasons and is aimed to recognize the importance of music in our lives and cultures.

There are also other ongoing and occasional events, including presentations, fundraising events, annual Volunteer Appreciation Picnic, open house, Indigenous Peoples Awareness Initiative, and more, which are in addition to the regular programming.
