Our work involves protecting land through conservation easements and acquistion as well as promoting the value of conservation through education and outreach. We work closely with other land trusts and resource conservation organizations and are a founding and active partner in the Mt.Agamenticus to the Sea Conservation Initiative. http://www.mta2c.org/
What We Do
Great Works Regional Land trust seeks to conserve the natural, historic, agricultural, forestry, scenic and recreational resources within the Berwicks and the towns of Eliot, Wells & Ogunquit for current and future generations. GWRLT was founded in 1986 by a group of environmentally conscious, concerned citizens. To date we have permanently conserved 92 properties for a total of 4,338 acres. Great Works is powered largely by a highly dedicated volunteer board and committed membership of 900!
