KEPTA Inclusive Playground Initiative

Hello, We are a parent based non-profit volunteer group within our school's PTA working to bring an inclusive playground to not only our school but our community. What began as a need to replace a playground more than 20 years old has turned into the desire to create an enrichment and inclusive place of play for all members of our community. We envision a playground on which those with mobility assistance devices can play freely with their peers and/or family members without the need of supervision or increased supports. We cannot do this alone as the cost is greater than our district can support and therefore we are fundraising to ensure that no child or adult is left behind in the execution and installation of a new place to play and gather.
