Who We Are
The chorus has up to 34 girls as member singers, ages 10 to 25. The chorus has one full-time staff person, its founder, CEO, music director, and administrator, Paul “Con” Fullam, and one part-time Assistant Chorus Director. Pihcintu to recognized nationally and internationally. In the 17 years since its founding, 350 girls have sung with the chorus, 100% have graduated high school and 85% have gone on to post-secondary education.
What We Do
Pihcintu is an after-school program for refugee and immigrant girls. Our mission is to empower girls and young women through music, so they build confidence, and gain academic and performance skills in a supportive community. Pihcintu (pronounced Bee-chin-two) is the Passamaquoddy word meaning “When They Sing Their Voices Carry Far.” The chorus has up to 34 girls as member singers, ages 10 to 25
