Maine Irish Heritage Center

The Maine Irish Heritage Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and celebrating Irish-American culture, as well as preserving our historic building - the former St. Dominic's Church in Portland's beautiful West End. Founded in 2001 after the deconsecration of St. Dominic's, the MIHC has been a source of community, art, food, and music for tens of thousands of people from Portland and beyond.

We promote Irish-American cultural experiences through many programs and events, including concerts, educational gatherings, poetry readings, art exhibits, film festivals and family celebrations. Given the size and beauty of our building, we also offer private rentals for weddings, receptions, graduation parties, and more.
