Ketcha Outdoors

Our mission: Is to provide kids of all ages with deep connections to the land, vibrant community and the confidence to create their sense of place in the world.

We seek to get families and children outside and active. Through our affordable youth development programs, kids expand friendship circles, learn new skills, build greater self-awareness and engage with the natural world.

Our facility encompasses 107 acres of rolling meadow and woodlands where youth engage in year-round outdoor activities from team-building on the ropes course, to caring for goats on our farm, to snow-shoeing on our hiking trails. During the summer we offer summer camp programs that include swimming, archery, outdoor living skills, arts & crafts, environmental education, sports and ropes course activities. Throughout the year we offer a nature-based farm and forest preschool, therapeutic programs, farm experiences, and team-building workshops on the challenge course. We also run Portland Gear Hub where we increase access to the outdoors through our used bikes and outdoor gear store, and programs like Bikes for all Mainers and Gender Equality Outdoors.
