Who We Are
MANP is a statewide membership organization whose mission is to strengthen the leadership, voice, and organizational effectiveness of our state's nonprofits, which helps them enrich the quality of community and personal life in Maine. The Maine Association of Nonprofits was formed in March of 1994 by a core of seven 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations to "advance Maine's nonprofit sector." We have grown to over 900 nonprofit members from all areas of the nonprofit sector, along with almost 160 corporate supporters. Our vital work includes advocacy, group services (cost savings programs), technical assistance, education and professional development, and networking.
What We Do
MANP is a member of the national network of state nonprofit associations across the country and provides management training, leadership development and skill building programs, research and assessment tools, technical assistance, advocacy resources, and affordable healthcare and benefit plans. We work to strengthen, connect, and advocate for Maine's nonprofits, as 100% of Maine people benefit from the services of Maine nonprofits.
