YFO is entering an exciting period of growth as we expand our services to include affordable housing alongside our core programming of early care and education. As we move into this new chapter, we are seeking a board member with property management expertise—particularly in leasing and tenant law—to help ensure that our housing initiatives are successful, sustainable, and responsive to the needs of families. The ideal candidate will:

Bring professional knowledge of property management, including leasing practices, tenant rights, and landlord-tenant law.

Provide guidance on policies and procedures that ensure compliance and fairness in housing management. Support the organization in navigating legal and regulatory requirements related to affordable housing.

Contribute expertise to strategic discussions about how YFO can integrate housing into its broader mission of family support.

Like all board members, this individual will also share in governance responsibilities: attending monthly board meetings, serving on committees as needed, assisting with fundraising, and acting as an ambassador for YFO in the community.
