Do you love to knit or crochet? Would you like to share your skills with children? The Salvation Army is seeking volunteers who will guide children in various knitting and/or crocheting projects as a part of our summer day camp. We?ll spend time each day learning to crochet and knit and each child will bring home creations of their very own. The program will serve low-income children in Greater Portland, and will work to emphasize the value of individuality and creativity. Together, we?ll explore the possibilities for self-made, hand-made fun!
