St. Lawrence Arts is looking for motivated, reliable and enthusiastic individuals to join our volunteer team. St. Lawrence Arts is a non-profit venue featuring unique, broad-based, arts and music events while preserving a distinctive National Historic Landmark. Our yearly schedule at SLA ranges from a full season of theater performances, music shows, film screenings, burlesque and dance acts to much more! We are always seeking new members of the Portland/ Greater Portland community to assist us in a variety of ways. (See the requirements specific to this opportunity positing bellow) BOX OFFICE AND CONCESSIONS STAND Volunteers- Arrive 1 hour prior to the scheduled start time of given performance Open up concessions/box office window Ability to make quick $ transactions using cash bank is mandatory Selling snacks/beer/wine to patrons prior to show and during intermission Check in patrons (box office) upon arrival from will call list *We will provide brief training & answer any questions you have have prior to your shift. Time Commitment: The volunteer shift for box office or concessions stand attendant depends on the duration of the given performance/show that is signed up for. We will need you to arrive 1 hour prior to the performance start time. Volunteering grants you a complimentary seat to the given show!
