The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is a USDA program that helps kids who rely on free and reduced-price school meals to continue receiving healthy food during the summer. Any child under 18 can receive a free meal.
Sites throughout Cumberland County are looking for volunteers to:

assist with meal distribution

assist in counting the number of children receiving meals

play with and entertain children while they are visiting the site!

assist with meal clean-up
Volunteers are needed Mondays through Fridays from the time school gets out until it starts up again in the fall. Volunteers are needed throughout Cumberland County. Locations include Portland, South Portland, Westbrook, Windham, Gray-New Gloucester, and the Lakes Region.
