Beacon Hospice Pet Therapy Volunteer

Beacon Hospice needs cold noses for warm feelings!!  So many of our patients light up immediately when a dog comes to visit.  So we are recruiting handlers with certified dogs to join our team.  Dogs must be certified therapy dogs with insurance, have proof of rabies shots and be courteous citizens.  Handlers must complete 21 hours of direct patient care hospice volunteer training.  Free training will be arranged at a mutually convenient time at the South Portland office and consists of weekly 3-hour classes for 7 weeks.
