Food Assistance Volunteer: Biddeford Meals on Wheels

Biddeford Meals on Wheels is looking for a volunteer on the first Thursday of every month from 10:30-12:30 to assist with pick-up and distribution of Commodity Supplemental Food boxes to residents of Old Orchard Beach, Saco and Biddeford. The Commodity Supplemental Food Program provides income eligible seniors with a 30 lb. box of non-perishable food items once monthly. The pick-up location for the food boxes is the United Baptist Church located at 318 Main St., Saco, ME. Interested parties would need to be able to comfortably lift 30 lbs. in and out of their vehicle, and would need to be willing to deliver these boxes in the previously mentioned areas without mileage reimbursement.
