Description

If you are looking for a rewarding volunteer experience where you can make a difference in the lives of grieving children, teens, young adults and adults, we invite you to attend one of our one-hour, online Volunteer Info Sessions to learn more. We are looking for Peer Support Facilitators in our Wednesday night Bereavement group in Sanford.

Our volunteer facilitators make a 3.5-4 hour, weekly commitment to co-leading a small group of children, teens, young adults or adults. All facilitators receive 30-hour of training and complete a background check before being placed in a support group. You will be a part of a caring community and receive excellent ongoing support and training. We now offer both in-person and online groups.

Contact Kristin Lash at volunteer@cgcmaine.org to register for an upcoming Volunteer Info Sessions, where you can learn more about the role of volunteer facilitator. Applications are currently being accepted and processed for our virtual January 2025 and hybrid March 2025 trainings.
