Special Event Volunteers are needed to support the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine’s After Dark: Halloween event on October 27th. This is a 21+ event. Volunteers will help with event setup beginning at 4:00 pm, and/or staff the event beginning between 5:30 pm and 5:45 pm to 10:00 pm. Additional help is needed with clean-up as the event ends.
About Event
Bats, boils, and broomsticks, oh, my! You're invited to CMTM's first night time event and boo-bash. This is a 21+ event. Visitors will enjoy a Halloween-themed evening of costumes, elixirs, activities, and more at the Museum & Theatre's inaugural evening out for kids-at-heart.
About Series
By popular demand, the Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine is excited to present After Dark at the Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine, a night-time series JUST for grown-ups. After Dark is an adults-only after-hours event that includes access to three floors of exhibits, activities, refreshments, and fun for those 21+. Proceeds from our After Dark series support CMTM's Community Fund that supports the Museum & Theatre's Belonging and access work.
Position Requirements

Volunteer must be at least 21 years old

Interest in the Museum & Theatre’s mission

Act as an ambassador for the Museum & Theatre

Excellent customer service skills

Setup- Ability to lift, pull, string, and hold
Time Commitment

Complete short introductory training with Volunteer Coordinator (1 hour)

Event is October 27th, 2022

Set-up is from 4pm to 5:30pm (shorter shifts are available)

Event help is needed from 5:15pm to 10pm (shorter shifts are available)
