Gbokpasom, which means Helping Hand in the Bassa language of Liberia is a grassroots US-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization empowering underprivileged children, mainly girls; as well as creating opportunities and promoting human dignity.
The organization is providing support for underprivileged and orphan children in needs and maintaining helpful long-term development programs in respond to human sufferings in Liberia. Gbokpasom-Maine is working with its local implementing partner Gbokpasom-Liberia to support underprivileged children and orphans in that part of the world. The Organization programs provides educational and advocacy services for underprivileged children, mainly girls in Liberia through gathering of resources; while maintaining helpful programs for alteration and growth.
Who we serve:
Gbokpasom was founded to serve all children regardless of culture, ethnicity, gender, race, and religion but with a special focus on girls in Liberia and communities in the Mano River Union (MRU) Countries in West African where bulk of the people lives below the poverty line.
Where we work:
Gbokpasom works regionally for now with special focus on Liberia, in West African where bulk of the people we serving living below the poverty line. Gbokpasom hoped to extend it operations to other communities in the Mano River Union (MRU) Countries. The Organization sometimes partnered with other non-profits organizations ranging from local and regional community support groups to international relief organizations to accomplish it goals, mission and vision to serve the community.
